November 8, 2023 Happy Fall! We hope that you all are doing well and enjoying the cooler temps! With the Fall changes, we have also had several changes here at GCTW. First, Brian Harper is no longer an LPC in Alabama, so he can no longer provide services to Alabama residents. Brian is still actively licensed in Florida. If you are residing in Florida and would like to see him or continue seeing him, please feel free to email our office and we can connect you to him. Secondly, IBH and Dr. Cantwell are temporary tenants in our offices. We have enjoyed having their staff here and are very excited to have another psychiatric option for patients in the area. IBH is currently renovating their new office space in Daphne and hope to be moved in before the end of the year. We welcome all of the patients and hope that you have a pleasant experience in our office while you are here! Also, please note that IBH has a separate phone number and email address from GCTW and that contacting our office is not the same as contacting IBH directly. Thirdly, the technical issues that we have had with our phones this year appear to finally have been fixed. Thank you for your patience in this area. And on that note, please know that we no longer have a waiting list for new patient appointments! Instead, we are open to taking new patients. Lastly, we will be closing for athe holidays. Our offices will be closed Noveber 21-26, 2023 and December 22, 2023-January 1, 2024. Voicemails and emails will NOT be checked during these breaks. We hope that you continue to have a wonderful Fall and look forward to seeing you soon! - GCTW Staff
June 29, 2023
We hope that you and your family have been doing well. This summer our offices will be closed on Mondays. We will also be closed July 1st- 17th, 2023. During these closures, voicemails, email, and snail mail will not be monitored. The office phone does list numbers to call if you or your family member are in crisis though. Our office number is: 251-517-7737. Either extension will offer crisis contact information. We will also contact you when we return to the office on or after July 18th, 2023. Also, we are continuing to work on our waiting list for new patients. Unfortunately this has been a slow process and we know that this is cumbersome for some patients and families and completely understand those who simply are unable to wait for our services. For those that are willing to wait, we thank you in advance for your patience and understanding, and we look forward to working with you. Have a wonderful summer and we look forward to seeing you soon! - GCTW Staff
GCTW COVID-19 Policy
1. Any patient over the age of 8, that chooses to be seen via telemedicine, will be permitted to do so. Please note that some insurances may deny this form of service. We will notify you if your policy does not allow for Telemedicine sessions. 2. Patients are encouraged to determine their own comfort level with wearing a mask during session. We have colorful disposable masks available if anyone needs one! 3. Patients will have access to hand sanitizer prior to session, and offered it post session as well. 4. All GCTW staff will wear masks during interaction with patients. 5. The play room will be disinfected after each session, therefore younger child appointments will be staggered so the room can be sufficiently aired out prior to session. 6. Individuals that have family members in their home that are COVID-19 positive are asked to quarantine and NOT come to session at GCTW. We can create a Telemedicine appointment instead. 7. Individuals that are ill will NOT be seen in-person. Please reschedule or create a telemedicine session if you are ill or know that you have been exposed. 8. Social distancing will be enforced during sessions. 9. There is no public restroom. Please plan accordingly. 10. Seating in the lobby will remain minimal. 11. If a therapist is exposed to COVID-19, upcoming patients that are scheduled for in-person appointments will be notified and given the opportunity to cancel or schedule a telemedicine appointment instead. Therapists will also notify patients seen up to 48 hours prior to their diagnosis to make that family aware of possible exposure.
